My name is Haifa, a mother of three children. I am struggling to survive. My children and I are suffering from a real famine. Hunger is consuming my children’s bodies. We need your support, you people of conscience. We are here from the heart of the ongoing destruction in Gaza. Since the beginning of the war, everything has changed. Our home was completely destroyed in a direct strike, and with it, we lost our memories, our security, and everything we owned. We have nothing left.
We fled under the bombardment, carrying exhausted bodies and fearful hearts. My family and I have been displaced many times. We lived in schools, on the streets, in bombed-out buildings, in the dark, unjust situation. We have suffered greatly from hunger, injustice, bombing, and destruction. There is no water, no electricity, no life, no food, and no source of income for us.
All I want now is to provide my family with the most basic necessities of life: a morsel of food to satisfy the children’s hunger, and clean water. Everything around us is destroyed. Every day is just another attempt to survive. So I decided to start a campaign for you guys to stand by me so we can survive this damn war.
